Sleepy Savannah

overcast 32 °C

Not unsurprisingly I woke up late this morning and after making some phone calls I head out into a wet Savannah. The city is small and retains a dignity that only southern cities seem to possess. If there is any seediness here it’s well hidden. Instead trees draped in Spanish moss line lazy boulevards and picture postcard houses look out at the horses and carriages passing by.

I had to take extra medicine this morning (within the quantities recommended to me) and it completely slowed me down and I ended up sat on a sofa in a locally run coffee shop whilst my body recovered. When I felt able I explored the city a little bit more before heading back to my accommodation. I need to be up at 5.30am for my taxi to the train which will take me to Miami so an early night is in order.
